Privacy Policy

Summary

Outvoice is designed with privacy as a core principle. All audio processing and transcription happens entirely on your Mac. We do not collect, store, or transmit your audio files.

In short: your audio stays on your device. Always.

What We Collect

  • Outvoice collects no personal data. The app operates entirely offline and does not require:
  • Account creation
  • Internet connection for core functionality
  • Cloud storage or uploads
  • Analytics or tracking

On-Device Processing

  • All features of Outvoice run locally on your Mac:
  • Audio format conversion uses FFmpeg installed on your system
  • Transcription uses WhisperKit, running entirely on Apple Silicon
  • Exported files are saved to locations you choose on your device
  • No audio data ever leaves your computer.

Third-Party Services

Outvoice does not integrate with any third-party services for its core functionality. The app does not send data to external servers, APIs, or cloud services.

The only external requirement is FFmpeg, which you install separately via Homebrew and runs locally on your machine.

App Updates

When checking for updates or downloading the app, standard network requests may occur through GitHub (where the app is hosted) or the Mac App Store. These are subject to GitHub's and Apple's respective privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
